so, in lecture, my ecology professor affirmed the hippies' comments at woodstock, saying that we are indeed made of stardust. hmm. all the ecology/ earth and planetary science/ environmental science professors tend to be hippie-ish themselves.
the second round of midterms is coming up. eeck! i don't think i'm ready. oh well.

Venus Doom
So HIM released their newest album last month and I really wanted it. I've been listening to HIM a lot and I was wanting new stuff to listen to and when I walked to get bagels after class, I passed Hot Topic and saw a poster for the new CD. So I waited to get it until I wasn't too busy with school. So, yesterday I finally went to Hot Topic and I headed to the CD section. Except, I couldn't find it. So I asked the little goth dude behind the counter where the CD section was and he was like "right there." It consisted of a small box with 6 CDs. I was like "seriously?" It turns out they're going out of business. How sad. So I asked him about the Venus Doom poster and he said that they were giving away the CD at their listening party. I was like CRAP; I could've gotten a free HIM CD. So, now I'll wait until I go home to go buy it.

at the moment
I really really can't stand it when the people I'm working with for a project don't show up to scheduled meetings. It makes me feel like such a dork for remembering. I especially hate it when I am running late and rush to get there and end up realizing that noone is there. I have other things to do too. Uggh.
That's why I like the current lab group for bio so much. They're so efficient and competent. I like that. I like getting the work done and doing a good job.
Living where I am now, I see a lot of professors walking around, either walking home or to lunch. It's pretty interesting. They're just like us! I saw my math professor the other day. It reminded me of the jokes I used to make with my friend, Jeff, who took the class with me. And that led to me remembering all the stupid jokes I had with other friends. So, there I stood waiting for the light to change at an intersection, laughing to myself. I probably looked like one of those crazy bums. LOL.
Despite missing some friends I've lost touched with and mulling over the ones who've been a pain [why do I do that?], I've realized I have other friends who are there and are good people. So I should really be happy with what I have and stop being emo all the time. But, honestly, I haven't been emo in a while :]!
And, I'm sitting at the library right now. This dude across from me just left and he looked piss. Judging by the fact that
1] he was looking at something on his laptop
2] it's midterms season
3] he took out his calculator and did a division problem
4] he kept sighing
he probably got his midterm scores. Midterms bite.

COCONUT
It's a really peaceful day today. I don't know if it's the day that's peaceful, or me finally feeling calm. It's not too warm, but it's sunny. I'm sitting under this tree in the outdoor cafe at school and it's really nice. This ugly looking berry that kinda looks like a misshapened strawberry fell and hit my backpack. It reminded me of the time I was in Thailand and talking to my aunt out in the yard when this HUGE coconut the size of a bowling ball came falling down. It almost landed on me. I would've died. :[ So, after that happened, the poor tree was cut down. Sad, but it could've killed. So, coming back from the tangent, I feel pretty good. People everywhere are studying for midterms. Natalie Portman was here yesterday. I wonder how that went. AND CAL football is number 3! I'm proud of my bears! YAY. okay. back to running errands.
