So for French class we were suppose to go find an ad in a magazine, bring it to class and discuss it. Well, we were divided into groups and the other group didn't have a single magazine and asked to borrow mine. So while they were talking about the ad they found with the teacher, she just looked at me like I forgot to do the assignment. So when I went to present mine, it looked like I stole their magazine. I was so angry because I took the time out of my day to do the assignment and none of them did, yet it looked like I stole their magazine. UGGH. I am so annoyed.

moon and dust

I forgot something I was going to write about... I guess it's inevitable. I always frequently forget things.

So, today I was walking down the stairs in this building where the walls are glass. So, I could look down at the people passing by on the ground. There was this incredibly hot, chic dude. So, being me, I ran down the stairs as quickly as possible. (Remember the manhunt for Go-T?) Anyways, face to face, he's not that cute....

Science professors never cancel their classes before any type of vacation. That's the FUN in being a science professor. Your students are in class even though everybody else in the school is drunk in Mexico or Florida... But, I have nothing else to do anyways, so I don't mind going to class. Who have I become? LOL

p.s. it's been 5 years....

sun and wind

I'm SICK! I have a running nose and an itchy throat :( WHY?

I will be home this Friday and I am so excited! I love LA!
There's so many things to do and many more I want to do. I get tired, but I'm working on making my dreams come true.

Also, Bret Michaels only thinks about sex. GROSS. Yet, I can't stop watching! LOL

Bret Michaels post soon.
He's interesting.
Old and ugly - he can't pull off eyeliner as well as Scott Weiland
Perverted- all his dates are sex-related.
Yet, I CAN'T STOP WATCHING ROCK OF LOVE. DAMNIT!

I think it's an escape for me because these people could only be in a show like this.
OMG. I hate it when crazy people yell at me. I wish I could just scream "Shut the fuck up" at them. But, I can't. It'll only make me out to be the crazy one.
I read an article today about how UC has to go to court against all these protestors for animal rights. I think that if the lab practices done to animals is justified and beneficial to science, then it is acceptable. I think that the protestors have ALL rights to nonviolent protest. But throwing firebombs at professors' houses is not acceptable. What if somebody gets hurt? Sometimes, I feel that these activists use these just causes as an excuse to let out their aggression.
On a different note, I had a guest professor today. He seems like an old quiet type when he walked in. But, he's hilarious. He sounds like a surfer boy and makes little dances to demonstrate cell movement. Very cool. It's funny that scientists usually hate spelling; most of my professors dread it. They write as minimally as possible. Yet, the names they give to organisms and procedures are the longest and complicated words in the world.

ROCK OF LOVE LOL

I must admit, I like watching Rock of Love. The girls on the show are pretty interesting and very different from people I know. All the drama over some washed up rock star that I didn't really know much about. Was he all that famous at the height of his career? And he's 44...the girls on the show are like my age. That's pretty gross. Maybe if it was like Mike Shinoda in ten years, I would be on a show like that. But, Bret Micheals is pretty interesting himself. He can't pull of the eyeshadow though. It just makes him look like a cross between weird and country. Ahh. I'm so not concentrating on statistics which is like confusing me so much! Of all the classes to give me trouble, why is it the one that I wasn't required to take? LOL.

The people in my French class learned how to say they didn't want Hilary in office. I was so annoyed.

My Liberal Town...

... isn't really that liberal. I know it's been said many times. If a town is liberal, then many point of views should be heard - not just that of the way left. In Berkeley, protests and shouting down the opponent is so mundane because it happens everyday. If we were that liberal, we should take time to listen to the other side and discuss our ideas openly. It's not a competition of who's louder. There's so many sparring groups : Pro-Israel vs Pro-Palestine (they almost got into a fight while I was walking by - I was like "NO! I'm not part of this, please don't hit me. I'm just trying to get to class"); Tree sitters and the Police (the tree sitters have moved onto campus and I kind of like having them here; just please, don't hurl poo at me); the anti-war people and the war supporters (both of whom are pretty stupid).

on a lighter note, i like the chocolate brownie cookie with omega 3 at jamba juice! :P

...and life doesn't seem so awful with the sun!
