trees and summer

This week has had so many ups and downs. It's the last week of school! Summer is here at last! Although, I'll be spending a majority of it up here, I'm glad to get to go home and spend a few weeks there. Another downer from my cell bio class: Look to the person on your right; Look to the person on your left; one in three of you will have cancer. :( One in six girls in our class will develop cancer. It's such a harsh reality out there.

Yesterday I was sitting under a really shady tree outside the doors of the science building. I chatted with my friend for about an hour or more. It was so relaxing to just sit under that shade and not be in such a rush. Life is so chaotic - a rush to get to class, rush to finish homework... It was nice to just sit there and watch other people rush by.
